TWO GREAT MINDS, TWO GREAT HEIGHTS – GUU Elevates Two to Professorship Cadre!
Today we celebrate two great minds who have been elevated above their previous academic climes. These noble and gentle people are:
Associate Professor Evelyn U. Godwin-Nwakawasi, as a Full Professor; and Dr. Joachim Okoroafor as an Associate Professor.
Their promotions confirm that Science and Philosophy do meet at some points on the rail of times and experiences.
The brand new Professor Godwin-Nwakawasi, who is the current Dean, College of Natural and Applied Sciences of GUU is also a renowned author with two books and over thirty publications in national and international journals. She was an editor of a published book.
Asso. Prof. Okoroafor, a seasoned Philosopher, got his First and Second Degrees from Imo State University, Owerri, and completed his Ph.D from Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka in record times. Bent on mastering the pedagogies of education, he registered and completed a Postgraduate Diploma in Education from the Abia State University, Uturu.

Presently, Asso. Prof. Joachim Okoroafor is the Director of General
Studies Unit of Gregory University Uturu. His contributionto knowledge is visible in his scholarly works, both local and international. He is a native of Umuezeala-Ama, Ehime Mbano LGA of Imo State.
The Founder, Prof. Gregory Iyke Ibe, the Chancellor, Gregory Ibe Jnr, the Vice Chancellor, Prof. Cele U. Njoku, Management, Staff and Students hope that your elevations will help to break down molecules and build the best crop of knowledge in Gregory University Uturu, and in our nation, Nigeria.
