The pioneer Vice Chancellor of Gregory University Uturu (GUU) has been conferred with the prestigious award of Fellow by the Nigerian Economic Society. This highest honor is a testament to her outstanding contributions to the field of economics and her impressive academic achievements in many institutions across the globe.
Reacting to the award, the Vice Chancellor of Gregory University Uturu, Prof Cele Njoku said, “We are thrilled to celebrate this milestone with Prof. Elu. Her dedication, expertise, and passion for excellence are qualities that have continued to distinguish her professional practice globally.”

The Nigeria Economic Society had conferred the fellowship award on Prof Elu because of her scholarship and community outreach in the profession which according to the body have variously impacted different strata of society globally.
