The Assistant Inspector-General of Police in charge of zone 9, AIG Baba Tijjani has assured the management of Gregory University Uturu of sustained partnership in the task of fulfilling the education mandate of the institution.
The AIG who declared the cheering news when members of the university management paid him a courtesy visit in his Umuahia office, restated the role of education in human and societal development. He therefore enjoined the management of Gregory University Uturu not to relent in pursuing her mission of equipping people with both knowledge and life skills.
Earlier in his speech the Vice Chancellor of Gregory University Uturu,Prof Augustine Uwakwe, appreciated the AIG for providing inspiring leadership to the police formation in the zone which according to him has resulted in the tranquil peace pervading in Abia state.
Prof Uwakwe was accompanied on the visit Gregory Universitythe Registrar Emmanuel Nebo,Principal Assistant Registrar in charge of media, Ogbonnaya Ogwo and Assistant Registrar Rev Canon Samuel Ekechukwu.
