Gregory University Uturu to Revive Igbo Language and Culture

The Chancellor and Founder of Gregory University Uturu, Professor Gregory IykeIbe says he is throwing his material and human weight behind the development of Igbo language and culture.

Speaking when he received members of Igbo World Assembly, IWA who were on a courtesy call to the Chancellor, Professor Ibestated that the University is the first to host the World Igbo Summit, recounting that the institution’s Igbo Renaissance Centre was established to revive and celebrate the culture and language.

He also assured IWA, which is an umbrella body of Igbo organizations worldwide in over 35 countries and the representatives of OhanaezeNdigbo in other countries that the institution will partner with IWA to revive the Igbo cultural heritage.

 

Earlier, the chairman of the group, Dr NwachukwuAnakwenze while appreciating the Chancellor for his giant stride in education informed the chancellor that the group had come to seek his partnership in reviving the identity of Igbos.
