The Abia State Commissioner of Police, CP Janet E. Agbede has noted that Gregory University Uturu is indeed a fast-growing University and hopefully, as fast in learning as well. She made the remark during a courtesy visit to the Vice-Chancellor of Gregory University, Uturu.
During the visit, the Abia State Commissioner of Police also inspected a Type-Two Police Station being constructed Gregory Universitythe University. After the inspection, she noted a large sum of money must have been committed in the construction of the Police Station and thanked the University management for the initiative.
She stated that the University’s Chancellor, Prof. Gregory Ibe is indeed a visionary.
She thanked the University management for the warm reception and assured the management of the full cooperation of the State Command in ensuring the safety of lives and properties in and around the University.
The new Commissioner of Police is the 31st Abia State Commissioner of Police. She came in company of the Deputy Commissioner of Police, Operations, Sani A. Salihu, the Area Commander, J. A. Essgiene, PRO, Abia State Command, Geoffrey Ogbonna, among others.
The Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Augustine Uwakwe while receiving the Commissioner of Police thanked her for honouring the invitation. He welcomed the CP to the state and prays she enjoys a peaceful tenure as Commissioner of Police. He assured the CP that the Police Station will be completed in record time and the building will comply to Police Station building-design specification.
The team was received Gregory Universityother members of management including the Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Prof Evaristus Anyaehie and the Registrar Mrs Rosemary Igboekwe.
