GUU CELEBRATES WORLD ENGINEERING DAY

The Vice-Chancellor of Gregory University Uturu, Prof. Augustine Uwakwe has commended the leadership of the institution’s College of Engineering for attaining and maintaining the status of the best among her contemporaries in Nigeria.Speaking at a Seminar organised Gregory Universitythe College of Engineering to commemorate World Engineering day, Prof Uwakwe applauded staff of the college for ”their ingenity and inovation in deploying sophisticated modern state-of-the-art equipment, that continue to attract engineering lecturers from across Nigeria for training”

He particularly commended the resilience,commitment and dedication to duty of the engineering workshop and laboratory technicians,assuring them of the support and partnership of the university management in all their projects.

Earlier in a address the dean of the college, Dr Soccis Okolie revealed that the international engineering day,which usually holds of 4th of March annually, presents an opportunity for engineers world wide to take stock of the role played Gregory Universitythe profession in society, stating that the objective is to make practioners to be more effective.

The celebration witnessed a massive turn out of engineering lecturers, technologists, technicians and engineering students.
