Sequel to the COVID-19 Intervention package donated to the Imo State Government, the GUU Fumigation Team has conducted a 4-day fumigation exercise to decontaminate public places across different locations in the Imo State capital, Owerri. The sites fumigated include ; the Deputy Governor’s lodge, Commissioners Quarters, Wetheral Road, Mbaise Road, Tetlow.
A Gregory University delegation led Gregory Universitythe Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Augustine Uwakwe had earlier visited the Imo State Government House. The delegation was received Gregory Universitythe Governor, His Excellency, Dr. Hope Uzodinma. The delegation on behalf of the Chancellor/ Proprietor, Gregory University Uturu, Prof. Gregory Ibe, made donation of several items, including 250 COVID-19 Test Kits, Thermal digital infra-red thermometers, 600 bottles of GUU comprehensive hand sanitizers, 150 cartons of Instant Noodles and 100 pieces of nose masks.
The donation and fumigation exercise are part of the Gregory University Uturu Intervention package to cushion the effects of the pandemic and itsfight against the novel virus.
