Few weeks after Gregory University Uturu launched the West Africa Green Economy Development Institute (WAGEDI), the institution has been commended for providing the necessary platform for research and development of the green economy agenda and deployment of renewable energy as a major source of power.
The Director of Sales, Asteven Group of Companies, Petra Egwuatu, who said this when she led the organization’s delegation on a courtesy call to the Vice Chancellor of Gregory University Uturu, Professor Augustine Uwakwe also appreciated the University for partnering with the company to reduce energy emission in the environment.
Speaking, the Vice Chancellor, Professor Augustine Uwakwe who thanked the company for their august visit to the University despite the distance also assured them of the institution’s partnership in driving the green economy agenda.
The Vice Chancellor received the delegation in company of the Deputy Vice Chancellor (academics) Professor Evaristus Anyaeghie, the Librarian, Mr. Ikpo Okoroafor and the Head, Media and publicity, Mr. Ogbonnaya Ogwo.
Recall that the University during her third convocation ceremony launched the West Africa Green Economy Development Institute (WAGEDI). The institute was launched by the Governor of Abia State Dr Okezie Ikpeazu.
