All is now set for the commencement of the first Internship Programme to be organised for graduates of any Nigerian University.Scheduled to hold in Gregory University Uturu the programme is designed to simulate the pioneer graduates of the pacesetter institution to acquire the vital frame of mind that will enable them fit into the work environment easily.
According to the Chancellor of Gregory University Uturu Dr Gregory Ibe the programme was initiated by him to "equip graduates of the institution with the right mindset to succeed in the market place".Speaking further he revealed that the programme will last for three months and will have the graduates attached to different units and enterprise centres of the university in accordance with their areas of specialization.
Having for a theme 'Closing the Gap', the participants will however be paid stipends at the end of every month as a way of preparing them for the labour market life style.
